Before a Clearlift laser treatment, it's essential to follow specific pre-care instructions to ensure the best possible results and minimize the risk of complications. Here are some common pre-care guidelines that you may be advised to follow:
Sun Protection: Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to your treatment. Protect your skin with sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Sunburned or recently tanned skin is more susceptible to side effects from laser treatments.
Avoid Topical Products: Refrain from using any topical products that may irritate or sensitize your skin, such as retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), or beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), for several days before your treatment. These products can increase skin sensitivity and may interfere with the laser treatment process.
Hair Removal: If you're receiving Clearlift laser treatment on areas with hair, such as the face, avoid any hair removal methods that may irritate or damage the skin, such as waxing or plucking, for a few days before your treatment. Shaving is generally permitted.
Makeup and Skincare: Arrive for your treatment with a clean face, free from makeup, moisturizers, and other skincare products. Your provider may provide specific instructions on when to stop applying products prior to your treatment.

In the few weeks prior to your treatment, AVOID any other treatments in the area such as lasers, chemical peels, fillers, micro needling, etc. as these may prevent you from receiving a Plasma Pen treatment at our appointment time.

Vitamin C: 1-2 gm per day
Bromelain: 500-1000 mg per day

Two weeks prior to treatment, to minimize the risk of bruising or bleeding, unless medically necessary, avoid taking aspirin or NSAIDs (such asibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Aleve), Vitamin E supplements, Omega 3 supplements, turmeric supplements and Ginkgo biloba supplements.
